We have regular routes through Viewmont and the streets off Highway 127 north of downtown, the older homes of Highland on the east side, and the Oakwood Historic District, where mature trees and tight lots make careful trimming and leaf cleanup part of every visit. We work across West Hickory and Kenworth, the neighborhoods around Lenoir-Rhyne University, and the lakefront streets along Lake Hickory in northwest Hickory, where sloped yards run down to the water.
On the commercial side, we look after small offices, churches and storefront properties around downtown's Union Square and along the US-70 and I-40 corridor near Valley Hills Mall and the Hickory Metro Convention Center. What Hickory lawns deal with
Hickory sits on red clay. It holds nutrients well, but it compacts hard, drains slowly after summer storms, and bakes dry in August.
